Classroom-based instructor lead course.
The classroom learning is facilitated by the instructor using PowerPoint presentation, scenario-based learning and open discussions. Each learner will receive an Emergency First Aid Manual which can be used during the course and is theirs to keep post course.
There are a series of practical assessments throughout the course as well as a multiple-choice question paper at the end of the course.
This is a 1-day course consisting of 6 hours of contact learning time and is valid for a period of 3 years, with the HSE recommending annual updates throughout the time you hold the qualification. In the case of group bookings, we can break the hours down into smaller sessions, with all learning hours being covered within a 1 month period e.g. 3 x 2hour sessions every Tuesday until completion.
