Addendum with respect to GDPR 2018
Whilst the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulations ) 2018 takes precedence over the DPA (Data Protection Act) in May 2018 we attest to the following in addition to the above :
- Any data breach will be reported to the Supervisory Authority within 72 hours of the incident
- All customers have the ‘Right to erasure’ – which includes all data including web records with all information being permanently deleted ( save transactional data required by HMRC )
- Protection Impact Assessments have been carried out to ensure we meet privacy level expectations
- Newsletter subscriptions are now double opt-in – meaning that not only does the individual have to actively subscribe, but they are required to confirm that subscription subsequently.
- All staff who have access to customer data have been trained and are regularly updated with respect to actively protecting customer data.
- We carry out internal audits of data protection activities.

Credit Card Payments
Blue Response DO NOT store nor view any Credit Card information such as: Credit Card Numbers, Expiry Dates or CVC Numbers. All Credit Card payments are done through a secure online payment gateway and are fully PCI DSS compliant via PayPal.
When you visit our site
When you visit the Blue Response web site, you are anonymous. We do not collect any personal information, including your email address, without your prior knowledge and consent. Your Blue Response shopping cart is maintained during your browsing session through the use of a randomly generated number that is stored in a cookie on your computer. None of your personal information is stored in the cookie itself. The cookie is only generated once you place an item into your shopping cart, and it self-destructs when you quit your web browser.
When you book with us
To process order, we need your name, billing address, phone number, and email address. This information is transferred to our server using SSL encryption (Secure Sockets Layer), a security protocol that provides communications privacy over the Internet. At no time do we send you unsolicited mail or email, nor will we phone you about any matter not related to your booking. We never share our customer information with any outside source.
Security & Peace of Mind Regarding Your Personal Details
We store the contract’s content and will send you the details of your order as well as our general terms via e-mail. You can find the terms here at all times. The details about your recent orders can be found in your customer login.
As a customer its is your right to request access to the information of your stored data with Blue Response, and you have the right to correct, block or request the stored information to be deleted.
Furthermore, all data stored on the secure server is protected by a firewall, the specification of which has been recognised by all the major banks. Your card details are not seen, nor transmitted by ourselves at any stage, and none of your details will be seen by anyone other than our order processing team.
When you subscribe to our email lists
You are placed on our electronic mailing list when you subscribe by email, subscribe through our web site, or check the subscription box on an online order (and confirm via double opt in). We never share our email lists with any outside source. We respect your privacy and want to make it as convenient as possible to unsubscribe from our lists. If you have trouble unsubscribing, or if you have any questions regarding our lists, please email email@example.com for prompt personal attention.
When you e-mail us
Should you contact us via email or otherwise specify that you want us to correspond with you via email, we will. We will not use casual email contact for anything other than response to your questions. We will not send you unsolicited email or other communications based upon your email contact to Blue Response.
