Reading Festival 2023 Lifeguard prvision

Reading Festival - Water Safety Cover 2017 - present

We provide 24 hour water patrols along the banks of the river Thames as part of Reading Festival. We are the eyes and ears of the river during this time, working in close contact with the event organisers, the Environment Agency, local ferry boat services, security and event based emergency services. In order to run this service we recruit and manage a team of 30 plus qualified lifeguards and boat handlers over a period of 6 days.

Kent County Cricket

Kent County Cricket - Medical Provision March 2023 - present

In March 2023 we became the in-house medical supplier for all Kent County cricket’s national and international operations including training days, one day and 4 day matches. We supply a variety of skill sets and equipment to them including Paramedics, Emergency Care Assistants and First responders as well as all required kit including an ambulance which is used for treatment area purposes. We have worked with the club to create a robust Medical Plan which we continue to update, keeping abreast of current best medical practises and any changes within the grounds operations. We advise on staffing and resources as set out by England and Wales Cricket Board.

De La Warr Pavillion - Event Medical cover and First Aid Training 2015 - present

In 2015 we became the in-house medical team for the DLWP, providing them with first responders for all of their gigs and events, which range from standing to seated, comedy to music with attendee numbers reaching up to 1,500 persons. We work closely with the DLWP to ensure we have a robust medical plan in place for the venue and also deliver regular First Aid @ Work courses for their stewards, café staff and management teams. 

Electric Picnic Festival - Water Safety Cover 2016 - present

With the success of lake swimming at Latitude Festival, Electric Picnic decided to follow suit and opened up the onsite lake to bathers in 2016. Once again we surveyed the lake and assisted the event organiser’s in writing up a swimming safety plan. We recruit locally and manage the 20 strong team of lifeguards throughout the event, providing 24 hour cover outside of the designated bathing times.

Active Sussex Events 2014 - Medical Cover - present

Active Sussex organise sporting events for secondary and primary schools throughout Sussex including cross country races, indoor and outdoor athletics and multi sports games, with the largest of their events being the Sussex School Games, which sees over 800 competitors take part in sports such as netball, hockey, athletics, gymnastics, stoolball plus many more. We have provided medical cover for the Sussex School Games with teams of up to 6 first responders plus paramedic cover since 2014.

Latitude Festival Water Safety Cover 2017 - present

In 2015 Latitude Festival opened its lake up for swimming which has been a huge success. Initially we were recruited to survey the lake and assist with compiling a swim safety plan with our director attending as the Swim Zone Safety Manager in it’s first year. Since then we have gone on to supply the festival with a lifeguard service during the swimming area opening times as well as 24 hour cover on the non-swimming areas of the lake. Over the duration of the festival the swimming area attracts over 8,000 festival goers and in order to ensure their safety we recruit and manage a team of up to 30 lifeguards and boat handlers.

Body Power Experience - Medical provision - 2019

In 2019 we provided cover at the Body Power experience held at Birmingham NEC. This event attracted over 25,000 visitors over 3 days and hosted various competitions including Powerlifting, body building and crossfit. We provided teams of paramedics and Emergency Medical Technicians. As a result of our service in 2019 the event organisers have requested our attendance again for their 2020 event.

Quadmedical Ltd - event medical cover 2017 - present

We have a close working relationship with Quadmedical and are regularly subcontracted for events and festivals they supply medical cover at including Garage Nation Festival, Junction 2 Festival, Sunbourne Festival, Dreamland venue and much more. These events see us working as part of a team of up to 20 professionals comprised of doctors, nurses, paramedics and first responders.

SwimTrek, Water Safety and Medical advisors and instructors 2011 - present

We have a great working relationship with SwimTrek, the worlds leading swimming holiday provider. Over the years we have assisted them in creating a robust annual swim guides training programme, which now sees over 30 guides from all corners of the world descend upon Brighton for this rigorous 5 day training programme in swim guiding which includes water safety, boat handling, first aid, lifeguarding skills and operational procedures. We also supply lifeguard teams and management for some of SwimTrek’s events and bespoke swims, with many of the guides and management team continuing to attend our Beach Lifeguard and First Aid @ Work courses.

Horsham Rugby Club - Medical provision - 2016 to present

We have provided medical cover at various rugby tournaments held by Horsham Rugby Club as well as their annual fireworks night which draw crowds of over 2,000 spectators.

Mud Monsters - event medical, 2015 - 2018

Mud Monsters is dubbed one of the muddiest Obstacle Course Races in the UK with over 1,000 competitors taking part in 5km, 10km and 20km races. We provided medical cover for them in the form of static and roving first responders and paramedics across the 135 acre site in West Sussex.

One Love Festival - Medical provision

One Love Festival is a 3 day reggae festival held in Kent. It sees just under 3,000 festival goers attend with a mixture of day tickets and weekend camping tickets sold. We provided 24 hour medical cover for this in 2019 including on site ambulance with blue light capabilities and paramedic cover. 

18 Hours Ltd - Medical Cover - 2019 to present

18 Hours Ltd is an events company based in East Sussex, their portfolio includes events such as St Leonards Day Festival, Hasting Storytelling Festival, Bexhill After Dark and much more. We have provided medical services to many of these great family events since 2019 and continue to do so.

Hastings Pirate Day - Medical provision 2017 to present

We have provided medical cover inclusive of ambulance transport, paramedics and first responders at this event since 2017. Every year this event holds a world record attempt to build the largest human image of a something Pirate related. In 2019 this was a pirate ship which required just over 6,000 persons!

CAMRA South East Sussex Branch, event medical and first aid training provider 2015 - present

Since 2015 we have been providing this branch of CAMRA with event first aiders for their 3 day Sussex Beer  Festival & 2 day South Downs Beer & Cider Festival as well as First Aid @ Work training. The festivals are held indoors and attract upwards of 2,000 visitors.

TL Sports, providing and managing lifeguard teams 2018 present

TL Sports produce triathlons and open water swim event in Sussex. In 2018 we supplied and managed the lifeguard team for many of these events including Swim Bewl and Bewl Triathlon where we had teams of up to 10 lifeguards and 2 rescue boats with helm and crew. Their events are open to adults and children of all ages and abilities.

The Charleston Trust - Medical cover - 2022 - present

This Historic Site in Firle, East Sussex hosts a dynamic year round programme of exhibitions, events and festivals including the Charleston Festival which runs for 10 days hosting talks, conversations and performances from National and International artists. We have been privileged to be a part of this event plus many more held at the site since 2022 where we provide onsite medical cover for the grounds.
